Meet the Program Developer

Shingai Manjengwa

Shingai Manjengwa is a data scientist, educator, and the founder of Fireside Analytics Inc., a global education company that teaches AI literacy, data science, and digital skills to diverse learners. Her online courses have reached over 500,000 people through platforms like IBM’s CognitiveClass.ai and Coursera.

Previously, Shingai led Technical Education at the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence, where she helped transform cutting-edge AI research into practical learning for industry and government.

She also created Canada’s first Ministry of Education–approved high school data science course and wrote The Computer and the Cancelled Music Lessons, a children's book that introduces data science to kids aged 5 to 12.

Shingai works at the intersection of education, technology, and ethics, helping learners and organizations understand how AI works and how to use it responsibly.
