Course Calendar

  • This is a rolling course and learners can enroll at any time during the year
  • Learners have 6 months to complete the course from the first day of registration
  • This course was created using Ministry of Education guidelines for 110 hours
  • Learner activity is tracked every time a learner logs-in, participates, conducts research and assignments and, submits a coding assignment
  • Staff are available on weekdays between 9am and 5pm EST

Hardware and Software

  • Computer with 4GB of memory or more (RAM)
  • Windows 8.0 or Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)
  • Broadband (high-speed) internet access (direct connection or Wifi)
  • Webcam and microphone (for the meetings)
  • Recommended browser: Google Chrome
  • R and R Studio computer programming environments will be accessed via the cloud, available through a Chrome or Safari


  • Learner activities are automatically logged by the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Learner engagement will be assessed based on activity data on the LMS and benchmarked  with other learners
  • Learners are required to submit all assignments, participate in discussions and, complete the final assessment/ capstone project in order to meet the course attendance requirements
  • Learner activity is tracked every time a learner logs-in, participates, unlocks an assignment and, submits coding or other assignments
  • Submissions will be vetted for plagiarism using automated systems
  • Analyses will be conducted on data from the time assignments are unlocked to the time they are submitted
